Our Story: A Three-Generation Legacy of Moroccan Weaving

Rooted in Kelaat M'Gouna & Ait Baamrane

Our journey begins in the heart of Morocco, in the region of Kelaat M'Gouna—specifically Ait Baamrane—where our grandparents laid the foundation of our family craft. Deeply connected to Berber traditions, they worked hand-in-hand as a team: our grandfather travelled across the region to carefully source raw wool, natural dyes, and fine cotton, while our grandmother spent long days at the loom, transforming those raw materials into authentic, hand-woven carpets and rugs. For them, weaving wasn't just a livelihood—it was an art form and a way of life.

From the Atlas Mountains to the Souk of Marrakech

Carrying this rich heritage forward, our father, Abderrahmane Bidda, made the journey to Marrakech. Driven by a passion for preserving our ancestral crafts, he opened a small shop in the iconic Souk des Tapis (the traditional spice and rug market). Through decades of hard work, dedication, and an uncompromising commitment to quality, he grew his modest shop into a respected name in the heart of the Medina.

A New Chapter: Bringing Our Craft to the World

Today, the legacy continues. As his eldest son, I grew up surrounded by the colors, textures, and rich aromas of pure wool in the Medina, eventually opening my own shop right alongside my father's.

My mission is to open our doors to the rest of the world and share the genuine beauty of authentic Moroccan textiles. Every rug in our collection is 100% handmade, carrying centuries of hidden Berber symbols, personal artisan stories, and time-honored techniques passed down through our family. When you bring one of our pieces into your home, you aren't just buying a rug—you are holding a piece of our family history and genuine Moroccan art.
